If there's one thing that pisses me off about other people, it's the helpless-abused-victim thing that some of them drag around like toilet paper on their shoes. There's this whole subset of people who believe that because they had fucked-up stuff happen to them as kids/teenagers/adults, their entire life is ruined and now they're just targets for more abuse. Have you ever noticed that these victims tend to attract/create more drama and bad things, almost as if it's a self-fulfilling prophecy?
Instead of understanding that they create their own reality, and they have a choice in how they react to bad shit, they just piss and moan and whine and complain about how awful it is to be them, and heap excuse after excuse onto their shitpile of why they're _______ (poor, angry, damaged, unloved, discriminated against, abused).
For example, this woman: (long thread, but very entertaining in a "trainwreck" sort of way. There's also a matching thread in the Harbin Hot Springers tribe, for more fun)

Like their problems are all external and everything happens to them and yet they never do a damn thing to try and make their lives better, just sit and complain about everything that's wrong with them and their lives.
These are also the people who think they have a monopoly on pain, sufferent and grief and like to play "one-up" whenever someone with real troubles is actually brave enough to speak up.

Of course, to pull it off truly affectively, you have to have no shame in starting a flame war...to get folks to feel sorry for you to the point where even you, yourself, can't bear to follow up on their kindness, an alleged kindness, one might add, that seems to be a variation on the "Perverse Logic Check"...yet, still, they seem willing to go through with just to further "The Nuclear Namaste Gambit" at an unsuspecting hot springs resort in one's own neck of the woods.
